Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Gameburrow ("we", "us") does with information when you visit gameburrow.com. The short version is that we collect very little, because the site is designed not to need much.

1. No account, no profile

Gameburrow has no registration, no login and no user accounts. We do not ask for your name, date of birth, address, payment details or any other identifying information, and there is no form on this site that collects them.

2. Game data stays in your browser

Your virtual coin balance and the state of The Acorn Vault exist only in the memory of the page you currently have open. They are never transmitted to us and never written to a server. Closing or refreshing the page discards them permanently.

3. Information we may receive automatically

Like any website, ours is delivered by a hosting provider whose servers may record standard technical request data — IP address, browser user-agent, referring page, date and time, and the resource requested. This is used for security, abuse prevention and diagnosing faults. We do not use it to build a profile of you or to identify you personally.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

Gameburrow sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own. If we ever introduce analytics or any cookie that is not strictly necessary, this page will be updated first and a consent mechanism will be presented before such a cookie is placed. Fonts are loaded from a third-party font service, whose servers receive your IP address as part of delivering the font files; if you prefer to avoid that, blocking third-party requests in your browser will not break the game.

5. When you email us

If you contact hello@gameburrow.com we receive your email address, your message and anything else you choose to include. We use it to answer you and for nothing else. Correspondence is kept only as long as needed to resolve your query and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you follow up.

6. Sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade information about visitors. We share data only with the service providers who host the site and deliver our email, and only to the extent needed for them to do that work, or where we are legally required to disclose it.

7. Children

Gameburrow is intended for adults aged 18 or over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal information we hold about you, or to object to its processing. Because we hold almost nothing, such a request will usually concern email correspondence only. Send it to hello@gameburrow.com and we will respond within the period required by the law that applies to you.

9. Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection and we apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect what little we hold. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. External links

Where we link to another site, that site's own privacy practices apply once you leave ours. We are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data.

11. Changes

We may revise this policy from time to time. The revision date at the top always reflects the current version, and continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of it.
